MANILA, Philippines - Computer experts from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrived in Cebu City Thursday to track down the person who uploaded the video of the "surgery scandal" into video-sharing site YouTube.
Visayas-based Bombo Radyo reported early Friday that the NBI experts came to Cebu upon the request of the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center, where the controversial operation was done.
Investigators have suspected a medical student had uploaded the video of the operation YouTube.
But the agents from the NBI Anti-Fraud and Computer Crimes Division admitted that pinning down the culprit will not be easy.
They also admitted that until they are able to pinpoint the culprit, they cannot expect full action on the case from YouTube's administrators.
The NBI agents cited reports that the video has been removed from the site.
Because of this, the NBI agents said they will coordinate with the Department of Justice to formally request YouTube's "cooperation" in the investigation. - GAMNews.TV
