MANILA, Philippines - At least three suspected robbers were shot dead in a chance encounter with a police patrol team in Tagaytay City in Cavite province Wednesday night.
Radio dzBB reported Thursday that a police team accosted the three, who they said were acting suspiciously before 9 p.m.
The incident occurred at Tolentino West village in Tagaytay City.
Initial investigation showed that when the police patrol team accosted the three, they allegedly fired at the lawmen, prompting the latter to fire back.
Recovered from the scene were two .38-caliber revolvers and a switchblade. - GMANews.TV
