MANILA, Philippines Tension gripped Chinatown district in Manila early Wednesday morning after a father took his two children hostage and stabbed them.
Radio dzBB's Carlo Mateo cited initial police reports indicating the two children were still alive and were rushed to a nearby hospital.
Police did not immediately provide details on the children's identities and ages.
The incident occurred at the corner of Tomas Pinpin and Gandara Streets. The father allegedly went berserk due to hunger and fatigue, the report said. - GMANews.TV
