MANILA, Philippines - It is pure concoction."
This was the reaction of Mother Mary John Mananzan, chairperson of Gabriela and co-chair of the Association of Major Religious Superiors of the Philippines, on the paid advertisement that appeared in a major newspaper Friday.
The ad linked Mananzan to a supposed plan to coax Rep. Jose de Venecia Jr. to come out and reveal what he knows of the ZTE-NBN issue and other alleged anomalies involving President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
I dont know of such a group and I never attended any such meeting. But, of course, I pray that [De Venecia] will finally talk," said Mananzan.
Mananzan issued the statement during a forum sponsored by Gabriela and the women's group BabaLa! at the Univerisity of the Philippines Friday morning.
Also present at the forum was Rodolfo Jun" Lozada who referred to women as mga tunay na pumapasan ng hirap ng pamilya (those who carry the family burden)." - GMANews.TV
