Tanker dumps liters of diesel after road crash in QC

QUEZON CITY, Philippines - A fuel tanker truck crashed on Congressional Avenue in Quezon City early Saturday, spilling several liters of diesel across the road, radio DZBB reported.

Police have closed the east-bound lane of the road to remove the truck and clean up the spilled diesel, the report said.

According to the report, the truck lost its control after the brakes failed, flipping over the vehicle.

The driver told DZBB that the truck was carrying 20,000 liters of diesel.

The report said people rushed to the scene to get diesel gushing out of the wrecked tanker.

In an interview, the driver said he was traveling at 60 kilometers per hour when the accident happened. He was supposed to deliver the fuel to a hotel in Manila. - GMANews.TV
