MANILA, Philippines - Five people were injured after a tanker truck of an oil company exploded in Puerto Princesa City in Palawan Monday morning.
Radio dzBB's Palawan affiliate reported that the truck belonged to one William Tan of a Caltex station in Brooke's Point in Palawan.
Initial investigation showed the incident occurred at 9 a.m. The truck had no fuel on board as it was just about to withdraw fuel.
Police explosives experts and arson investigators are looking into reports that the truck was carrying coal when it exploded.
On the other hand, the five motorists affected by the explosion were rushed to a hospital but were declared out of danger. - GMANews.TV
