MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude-5.3 quake rocked parts of Metro Manila and central and southern Luzon Friday evening, but state seismologists said no casualty or damage to property was reported.
Renato Solidum Jr., Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) director, said the quake was recorded at 6:35 p.m., with the epicenter 40 km north of Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro.
Citing initial reports, Solidum said the quake was felt at Intensity 3 in parts of Metro Manila and San Fernando City in Pampanga. It was felt at Intensity 2 in Puerto Galera in Southern Luzon. - GMANews.TV
