Motorbiker, warned for being helmetless, kills traffic enforcer in Laguna

MANILA, Philippines – A motorcyclist shot dead on Tuesday a traffic enforcer who stopped him for not wearing a helmet in Barangay Mayapa, Calamba, Laguna.

This was disclosed on Wednesay in statement released by the Police Regional Office 4.

Jaime Garcia Gambon, a 23-year-old resident of Barangay Tibag 2, was on duty at Mayapa Road when he saw the motorcyclist who was without a crash helmet.

When Gambon called the motorcycllst's attention, the man took out a pistol and shot the traffice enforcer, who died on the spot.

The man drove away immediately.

Police are now looking for witnesses who could have noted down the plate number of the motorcycle and describe the suspect. - GMANews.TV
