NCR cops to meet with Muslim chiefs to avoid spillover of Lanao hostilities

MANILA, Philippines  The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) will hold a dialogue with Muslim community leaders at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

The dialogue aims to prevent possible sympathy attacks in Metro Manila by Muslims and Christians on each other while the military conducts an all-out offensive against the breakaway rebels of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).

Director General Geary Barias, NCRPO chief, made the at a press briefing in Caloocan City.

Barias expect Muslim community leaders from all over Metro Manila to attend the dialogue.

In the same briefing, Caloocan Mayor Enrico Echiveri presented Graciano Victoriano, the former barangay chairman suspected of being the mastermind in the killing of six persons in Caloocan City two years ago. - GMANews.TV
