MANILA, Philippines - The National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) ordered Tuesday night the suspension of classes at the elementary and high school levels in seven areas for Wednesday.
Radio dzBB reported that this was in anticipation of the rains and winds brought by typhoon "Karen" (Nuri), which is expected to hit Northern Luzon Wednesday.
Ordered suspended were classes in La Union, Pangasinan, Zambales, Tarlac, Bataan, Pampanga, and Bulacan. - GMANews.TV
