MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude-4.8 quake was recorded off Batanes in extreme Northern Luzon Monday night, but no casualty or damage was reported.
The United States Geological Service (USGS) said the quake was recorded at 9:06 p.m., with the epicenter traced 127 km northwest of Basco in Batanes.
It said the epicenter was also 162 km south of Taitung in Taiwan; 175 km south-southeast of Kaoshiung in Taiwan; or 739 km north of Manila. - GMANews.TV
