Two rookie policemen were arrested before dawn Monday for allegedly mauling cell phone load vendors in Cubao district in Quezon City.
Arrested were Police Officers 1 Roderick Montilla and Emil Labiano of the National Capital Region Training School in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City.
The police officers were allegedly drunk when they assaulted the vendors identified as Neri Hernandez and Rizal Opena along Arayat Avenue.
Criminal complaints have been filed against the two. Administrative charges will also be filed against them.
