A suspected carjacker was shot dead by policemen in an encounter in Quezon City, Friday morning.
Police identified the suspect as Boy Montolo, 40. His companion, Alex Bugtong, was brought to Orthopedic Hospital for injuries he sustained after a shootout with policemen.
The two were spotted by members of the Quezon City Police District Anti-Carnapping Division along C-5 Road around 8:45 a.m.
The two fired at the policemen when accosted. The policemen returned fire killing Montolo and injuring the other suspect.
