Nursing student found dead in Ilocos Norte

A nursing student was found dead with a lone stab wound to the neck, Thursday morning in Ilocos Norte province.

Police identified the victim as Lynette Tabios, a third-year nursing student of the Northern Christian College.

Reports said residents found Tabios’ body along an alley located at Barangay 12 in the town of San Nicolas.

Investigation disclosed that the victim left the hospital where she was taking her practicum around 11 p.m.

Her classmates said they normally accompany the victim home but on the night of the incident, Tabios told them that she was still going somewhere to meet some relatives.

Authorities are still investigating the case to determine if robbery was the motive behind the killing since the victim’s cellular phone was missing.

Her classmates also told police that Tabios had a male textmate. Reports from Victor Andal, ABS-CBN Regional Network Group
