"Shoulder-level" floodwaters have inundated a Gawad Kalinga (GK) village in Brookside, Bagong Silangan, Quezon City Monday, residents said.
A resident identified only as "Nissy" told abs-cbnNEWS.com in a phone interview that rain-induced floodwaters overflowed from a creek and rose to "shoulder-level," flooding homes in the area.
She said that residents, among them many children, are "on top of their roofs" due to the flashflooding.
"Normally when it floods, its (sic) only goes up to the knees. But this is definitely a first. It's up to the shoulders now if you're standing at ground level," she added via a text message.
