MANILA, Philippines President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has fully recovered from a bum stomach and has left the Palace premises for her home province of Pampanga, Palace officials said on Saturday.
Deputy presidential spokesman Anthony Golez Jr. said Ms. Arroyo was on her way to Pampanga as of Saturday morning to attend a fiesta there.
"As early as 8 a.m. she was on her way to Pampanga, to celebrate fiesta in one of the towns there," he said on government-run dzRB radio.
Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita, in an earlier interview on dzRH radio, said he asked the President how she felt as of Friday night, and that she replied she was fine.
Press secretary and presidential spokesman Jesus Dureza on Friday night said Arroyo had recovered from a bum stomach.
A Palace statement Friday night said Arroyo was "briefly hospitalized due to an illness." - GMANews.TV
