Some residential areas in Caloocan, Malabon and Quezon City will have no water for seven to eight hours starting Friday, May 23.
Water concessionaire Maynilad Water Co. said the service interruption is due to the installation of 150-mm pressure regulating valves to the existing 150-mm mainline along EDSA corner U. Plata and B. Serrano streets in Caloocan.
Areas that will have no water in Caloocan from 11 p.m. on Friday to 6 a.m. on Saturday are: portion of West Bagong Barrio bounded by Tirad Pass, McArthur Highway, EDSA and Katipunan; portion of West Grace Park bounded by EDSA, Rizal Ave., 10th Ave., and A. Bonifacio; areas along Rizal Ave. from EDSA to 7th Ave.; Barangays 77, 78 and 79 bounded by JP Bautista, Samson Road and McArthur Highway; and Barangays 69 to 73 bounded by Samson Road, Heroes Del, Stotsenberg and Rizal Ave.
Areas that will have low pressure to no water for seven hours are the portion of Morning Breeze bounded by McArthur Highway, Tirad Pass, NDR and Reparo in Caloocan City, and portion of Atimoya St. and Orange Road in Malabon City.
In Quezon City, areas that will have low pressure to no water for eight hours are the following: Capitol Homesite, Royal Partenon, Homeland Subd., Interior Tandang Sora, area along Tandang Sora from General Ave. to Mindanao Ave., area along Mindanao Ave. from Tandang Sora to Road 20, Roque Drive, South Green Park, Hilda Village and Sta. Perpetua Village.
Affected customers are advised to store water good for the duration of the water service interruption, Maynilad said. Customers were also told to call the Maynilad Water Hotline 1626, the company added.
