MANILA, Philippines - A man with a firearm managed to sneak into a courtroom in Pasig City early Wednesday morning, and caused tension there before police caught him.
Radio dzBB's Lito Laparan reported that the man, who was not immediately identified, was caught hiding at the eighth floor of the Pasig regional trial court.
Initial reports reaching Pasig police head Senior Superintendent Francisco Uyami Jr showed the man entered the courtroom with a pistol and caused tension among court employees.
The issue of security in courts was highlighted last January when a former mayor attending a court hearing in Manila was assassinated. - GMANews.TV
